Bytebond is a premium puzzle game for PC developed by DVD Unicorns. It's a sci-fi-themed puzzler adventure featuring online or couch co-op gameplay. In it, players will team up as a pair of robots inside a computer CPU to rid it of a virus infection that is wreaking havoc on its circuitry.
Much like with Split Fiction or It Takes Two, communication and teamwork are the name of the game in Bytebond. Players will explore multiple unique locations and encounter puzzle problems that become increasingly complex as they progress. A demo version is available for newcomers to check out.
Electrifying duo
In Bytebond, you play as a duo as part of the Antivirus Special Forces, and you’re on a mission to regain control of a CPU that has been infected by an unknown virus. Utilizing your unique energy management abilities, you will work together to rid a computer of its foreign invaders and restore its systems to full working order once more.
Gameplay in Bytebond revolves around solving puzzles by rerouting electrical currents on circuitry spread across multiple computer components that have gone haywire due to the virus. You will encounter hostile enemies along the way, and you will also rely on your unique abilities to dispose of them quickly and efficiently. They will require different strategies to overcome, so you need to adapt on the fly.
Explore unique biomes within the computer, and each one poses a distinct set of challenges and puzzles of ever-growing complexity. There’s a single-player mode available if you want to play solo, but this really is not the ideal way to experience this game, since it tends to become rather tedious to manage two bots at the same time while solving problems.
